Thank you for taking part in my Community Champion Awards!

This is an opportunity to celebrate all those who make a positive contribution locally as volunteers.

​

You can nominate anyone, or any group for the following categories:

• Individual volunteer

• Voluntary group

• Young volunteer (under 25)

Feel free to nominate someone, or a group, that:

• positively impacts and enriches the lives of people around them

• goes above and beyond for the benefit of others

• is always looking out for others and willing to lend a hand

• gives up their time to give back

• goes the extra mile

This could be a large group of people who are working together to achieve great things in the community, or one person quietly getting on with errands for their neighbours or helping with gardening.

It could be volunteers who give their time to organise clubs and sporting activities for young people - or the young at heart - people who regularly go out litter-picking or someone who has served their communities on town and parish councils.

Nominations are now open until Monday 11 May.

​

On Monday 18 May I will announce the short list for each category and invite the public to vote for the winners. ​Voting will close on Wednesday 3 June and the winners will be announced on Friday 5 June.

​

Please note, nominations can only be made for people who live in the Scunthorpe Constituency. This is due to very strict Parliamentary rules that mean I can only support my constituents.
